Upcoming Diablo 2: Resurrected PTR update will include major changes to class balance

Remember, if you need to buy any cheap Diablo 2 Gold right now, U7BuyGames has everything that you need today! Update 2.4 introduces a number of impactful changes, making major adjustments to spell casting, class balance and Inferno difficulty. The patch also includes new Horadric Cube recipes, new rune words and much more.

One of the most important changes coming to the RPP in the patch is the individualization of casting cooldowns. The developers explain that using an ability that has a cast delay “will no longer add the cooldown to all other abilities that have cast delays.” The idea here is to “allow players to use more varieties of skills and promote more gameplay.” The net result should be significantly faster launch on the field.

Each character class in Diablo II: Risen has also seen tweaks to their abilities. The Diablo team has approached this pass of changes with the intention of adding improvements to underutilized skills, rather than nerfing anything they deem too powerful. So hopefully there will be more robust options when it comes to the more demanding content in Diablo II: Resurrected.

There are other important changes: the mercenaries you hire in Expansion mode have received some attention. In general, they will now always match your level when you hire them, rather than being a random number of levels above or below your character. The Iron Wolf and Desert Mercenary should now be more viable on higher difficulty levels.

The patch will add, or rather, enable for the first time, two rune words, Plague and Pattern. Blizzard says that these words were already present in the game data, but had never been enabled. For this patch, they are re-enabling those runes and making some adjustments to others to round out their stats.

The patch also adds four new horadric cube recipes, makes some changes to set item bonuses, and has increased the level of monsters in most zones on inferno difficulty.
